Breast reconstruction is a type of surgery for women who have had all or part of a breast removed – usually after a mastectomy for breast cancer. In these cases Dr. Dreschnack would employ a variety of techniques and procedures to create a natural look and feel – the goal being to reconstruct a breast that is similar as possible to the other breast. Also, Dr. Dreschnack will work to create a natural looking aureole and nipple if possible.
In the case of lumpectomy, a partial reconstruction only a partial reconstruction may be necessary.
Breast reconstruction is a far more complex operation than other forms of cosmetic plastic surgery.
